As the congregation considers its future in the wake of decisions made by the ELCA last August, some special presentations have been scheduled here @ COS prior to our called congregational meeting on Sunday February 28th:
§ Southeastern Synod Bishop Julian Gordy will be here to preach and engage in conversation during the Sunday School hour on Sunday, February 7th
§ Information about CORE (Lutheran Coalition for Renewal) and LCMC will be shared by the Rev. Rebecca Heber (CORE) and the Rev. Bill Sullivan (LCMC) Sunday, February 21 from 1 – 3.
§ There will be an “OPEN MICROPHONE” in the Sanctuary on Thursday, February 25th from 7 P.M. to 8:30 P.M. Members of the COS family are invited to attend. This will be the final opportunity to publicly converse with each other on the whether or not Christ our Shepherd Lutheran Church should leave the ELCA. The Called Congregational Meeting to vote on this matter is on Sunday, February 28th at 10 A.M.
